Robert "Bob" Brodovsky, has over 18 years of experience investigating and reconstructing traffic collisions. Since 1989 he has been a Deputy Sheriff for a large Northern California Sheriff's Dept. where he is a lead investigator on the county's accident call out team. He has investigated more than 1000 traffic collisions during this time.
He has testified as an expert in Traffic Accident Reconstruction and Forensic Mapping in criminal cases and provided testimony in civil depositions. He has over 500 hours of traffic collision investigation and reconstruction training. He also has extensive training and experience using the Forensic Mapping System and CrashZone/CrimeZone.
Bob has been using the Forensic Mapping System as part of his toolbox for the past 7+ years. He currently uses a Nikon NPL-350, and a TDS Recon data collector running PocketZone.
Bob teaches Forensic Mapping and GPS in investigations in the Advanced Homicide Investigations Course at the Robert Presley Institute of Criminal Investigation (ICI) in Sacramento. He also provides bi-monthly training on various subjects for his department's CAR (Critical Accident Response) Team. He is a member of the California Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists (CAARS).
He knows a fair amount about driving at fast speeds. In addition to working traffic enforcement, Bob spends his off time traveling to drag racing tracks "launching" his 1971 Plymouth Barracuda on the quarter mile tracks.
