Paul Wade, ACTAR, has been awarded Full Accreditation as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR #1172). He has 19 years of law enforcement experience with 15 years dedicated to traffic collision investigation and reconstruction. He has investigated thousands of traffic collisions ranging from low speed impacts to multi-vehicle fatalities. He currently works for a major Southern California Sheriff's Department where he is a supervisor on the department's Major Accident Reconstruction Team (M.A.R.T.).
Paul has testified as an expert in Traffic Accident Reconstruction both in criminal cases as well as civil cases. He has also provided testimony in civil depositions. Paul is a part-time instructor for Santa Ana City College, teaching in the Orange County Sheriff's Department Advanced Officer Training Program. Paul teaches in both the basic and intermediate traffic collision courses. Paul is certified as a Forensic Mapping Specialist and has experience using Sokkia and Leica total stations. He has formal training in AutoSketch, CrashZone, and MapScenes CAD programs.
Paul owns and operates On-Scene Reconstruction, LLC, where he provides Collision Reconstruction Services in the Southern California Region. Paul is a member of the California Association of Reconstruction Specialists (CAARS) and formerly served on the Board of Directors.
